Getting through to the back without going under the frame is sometimes impossible without going through the tubes. The side benefit is that you get to make shorter runs of lines when you add bulkheads like this.

Moser Engineering designed a competition race series 4 piston aluminum anodized forged billet caliper made of 6061 T6 billet aluminum instead of a cheaper cast caliper. The anodized calipers help eliminate corrosion and preventable wear. A dual pin is used for pad retention and o-rings are used to eliminate pad chatter. Stainless steel pistons & Teflon coated one piece bleeder screws are included in the design with dual crossover ports for quicker fluid release on the outboard pistons. Another Moser feature is the caliper and rotor design that allow for 25% more pad contact area than other calipers and allow for a 20% thicker pad than most of the competition.

Beginning with the caliper, Moser Engineering designed a competition race series 4 piston aluminum anodized forged billet caliper made of 6061 T6 billet aluminum instead of a cheaper cast caliper. The anodized calipers help eliminate corrosion and preventable wear. A dual pin is used for pad retention and o-rings are used to eliminate pad chatter. For the revolutionary rotor/hat design we designed a 2 piece keyed, slotted and drilled rotor combined with a hat that utilizes a spiral retaining ring to help allow more radial growth during high temp cycles than the competing designs already in the market. This helps to reduce the sticking, warping and belvilleing that occur in most other designs under heavy braking. Caliper along with the keyed rotor and hat design has over 4 years of R&D and track testing to assure reliability and performance.

Carbon brakes
were initially developed by Strange Engineering in the 80’s to eliminate brake
fade and allow for safe braking under immense loads by Top Fuel and funny car
teams. Carbon greatly reduces rotating weight when compared to steel and cast
iron brake kits. Carbon is unique material that can withstand “white” hot
temperatures during braking. Carbon rotors are virtually immune to thermal
shock which can caused steel and cast iron rotor to warp, crack, and
potentially fail. Strange has developed a carbon material that has exceptional
static and non-static characteristics while still yielding exceptional life.
These proven spindle mount front carbon kits feature a caliper that employs a
unique slider assembly that prevent caliper from binding or sticking. The
square carbon pads have a generous surface area allowing for optimum braking.

MW
carbon/carbon brakes offer the advantage of an extremely light-weight rotor
with superior stopping power ability. When compared to a standard kit with drilled
steel rotors, a Carbon/Carbon brake kit can save you as much as 10 lbs of
rotating weight. Carbon/Carbon brakes are unique because both the disc and
lining are made of the same material and do not suffer brake fade at elevated
operating temperatures as with normal rotors and friction materials. The square
drive lug system allows for the expansion of the aluminum mounting hat without
applying pressure to the rotor. MW brakes are produced from BFG 2D PAN knit
Carbon/Carbon that is superior to the random chopped fiber used by others. MW
Carbon/Carbon kits include MW race proven 4 piston calipers with hard anodized
pistons, carbon brake linings w/ stainless heat shields, billet aluminum
mounting brackets, and all the required fasteners. Extensive race testing has
proven the outstanding wear characteristics of the BFG Carbon/Carbon material.
